The goal of this project was to display how others view me compared to who I truly am.
KOERNERSTONE POSTER

One of the posters I designed for Koernerstone. It was made to advertise Koernerstone's gloves and reflect their motto, "Work your hands to the bone". I thought skeletons paired well with the style of Victorian advertisements, so I recreated the ornamental pieces found in Victorian art in this design. I also incorporated various line widths to add more dimension to the piece.
LYRICS SILKSCREEN

I made this silkscreen design using cyan, yellow, and magenta ink in separate typography layers. The words are lyrics from the song "Mad Hatter" by Melanie Martinez. The lyrics are arranged to form an upside-down heart with the negative space.

Alphabet soup is an original font I designed while looking at the handle of a handheld mirror.

2022 NOMINATION WORK
The initial sketches are ideas based on reading the script before implementing the Greek twist. The following page shows the addition of Greek architecture with elements including arches, pillars, and an amphitheater.
Multiple color options were also provided.
12 ANGRY JURORS POSTER

12 Angry Jurors, also called Twelve Angry Men, is a play by Reginald Rose about twelve jurors who must determine the verdict regarding the crime of a teenage boy.
The play presented by Beckman High School adds an ancient Greek twist to the play.
DEVOURING MOTHER

Spiders often symbolize the devouring mother archetype. The archetype refers to mothers who selfishly and excessively love their children; they consume them both psychologically and emotionally. These mothers are protective of their children to the point of obsession, controlling every aspect of their life.

I created a minimalistic and modern stationery set using my personal logo.
THE REFUSAL OF THOUGHT

The purpose of this design was to represent the word refuse. I interpreted the prompt as the refusal of thought — specifically the desire for ignorance. Movement is created by the transition from linear to curved lines. Some external force is being driven into the side of the brain; however, it is unable to be processed, resulting in the incomprehensible mush spilling out the other end. The grayscale color scheme emphasizes the yearning to feel numb. The brain is in denial, therefore it is rejecting all thought.
